TP Vision brings the magic of Philips Ambilight into the room with AmbiScape
September, 2026 – TP Vision is bringing the magic of Philips Ambilight further into the room with AmbiScape, now available on 2026 Philips Ambilight TVs from the 8000 Series upwards.
AmbiScape uses Matter over Wi-Fi to connect and control up to four compatible smart lights, extending the colours and dynamics of Ambilight beyond the TV. Compatible lights can synchronise with video or music content, or display a selected static colour, creating a more immersive atmosphere for films, TV, music and gaming.
The full 2026 AmbiScape experience is available on all 2026 OLED models and the RGB Mini-LED 981, with setup made simple through the Philips Smart TV app.
As the next step, TP Vision plans to introduce Matter over Thread support in the first half of 2027, initially on 2027 Philips Ambilight TVs before being extended to compatible 2026 models. This will broaden compatibility with a wider range of smart-lighting products, while TP Vision is also exploring support for more than four connected lights.
“Ambilight has always made the TV experience feel bigger and more immersive, and many of our customers tell us they would like to bring that experience further into the room,” said Anette van Dijk, Head of Marketing Europe, TP Vision. “AmbiScape makes this easy, while giving people the freedom to choose from a growing range of compatible smart lights.”
AmbiScape builds on the appeal of Ambilight, with more than 80% of Ambilight owners saying their next TV must also feature Ambilight, taking the experience beyond the screen and into the wider room.
