Philips Fidelio L5 combines high-fidelity sound with intelligent noise control

September, 2026 – Philips Sound introduces the Philips Fidelio L5, new over-ear wireless headphones combining high-fidelity sound, intelligent active noise control and lightweight comfort for everyday listening.

Launching in October 2026 at €199.99 / £179.99, the L5 features custom Philips-designed 36mm ceramic-coated dome drivers with woven silk suspension, delivering a natural, detailed sound with controlled bass, accurate mids and clear, precise highs.

The L5 features Philips’ most intelligent active noise control yet, with Adaptive Noise-Cancelling that responds continuously to the listener’s surroundings. New leakage detection monitors the seal between the earcups and ears in real time and adjusts the ANC filter to help maintain consistent noise-cancelling performance. Adaptive Awareness Mode can also automatically adjust the balance between immersion and awareness.

Designed for extended listening, the L5 combines a lightweight frame with soft protein-leather and memory-foam cushions. The ear cushions and rechargeable battery are both consumer-replaceable, supporting longer product life.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint, LDAC, LC3 and Auracast, while USB-C Audio supports lossless high-resolution audio up to 96kHz/24-bit. The headphones offer up to 60 hours of battery life, or 50 hours with ANC enabled, with a five-minute quick charge providing up to eight hours of playback.

A five-microphone system supports clear calls and effective noise reduction, while the Philips Headphones app provides control over ANC, sound settings and firmware updates. AI Neural EQ offers a simple way to personalise the tonal balance, alongside Spatial Audio modes for music and movies.

The Philips Fidelio L5 will be available from October 2026 for €199.99 / £179.99.
